Automatically empty Deleted Items folder

To automatically empty the Deleted Items folder when exiting Outlook:

1. Click File / Options.
2. Click Advanced.
3. In the “Outlook start and exit” section, check the box next to “Empty Deleted Items folders when exiting Outlook”.
4. Click the OK button.
